   Back to the Egg still boasts a gentle settling into mediocrity as the album progresses. Or maybe there was just nothing left for Wings to say. Or maybe Paul really didn't need anyone else anymore. The guy was a music making machine. Still, Back to the Egg was not a bad send off for Wings. The most cute hard rockin' band you'll ever know. B.

   This is my favourite Wings album this side of Band on the run, for Wings this was far more edgy, dare I say almost punky in comparison to the previous years "London Town". The Pub/Garage rock ethos in respect of the songs, production and performance really appealed to me back in 79' and still does now, even the typical Macca tune "Baby's Request"/5(86).

   For an album that was recorded intentionally as a non-commercial effort, Back To The Egg is a full band effort for Wings full of hooks, melody, and a great overall sound. A very rock influenced album, it is full of McCartney gems that found McCartney channeling his need to be seen as a fully-fledged rock ciaglazeceligap.anoferzitofetibucknessivovil.infoinfos:
